Lofty Brickell Announces 2024 Completion Date, 42-Story Height

More details of the proposed Lofty Brickell tower have been released by the developer.

Completion is scheduled for 2024, according to the developer.

Lofty Brickell will have a height of 42 stories, according to a fact sheet provided by a representative of the developer. The design will make it a “landmark building,” the marketing material says.

At the ground floor will be a “jewel box” double height glass lobby with access to the Underline.

There will also be a “5-star” restaurant at the ground level, and a private marina with 400 feet on the Miami River.

Unit sizes will range from 436 square feet to 985 square feet, with prices from $490,000 to $1.3 million.

A total of 40,000 square feet of amenity space is planned. They include a second floor lounge area, 9th floor pool deck, fitness area, and spa, and rooftop infinity edge pool, lounge and bar.

Interior design is by INC, with Urban Robot doing landscape design. Arquitectonica is the architect.

Private marina on the river is concerning for hopes of a connected Riverwalk. My first thought is 4 Ambassadors, and how much of a modern disaster that complex is now that Brickell has been built up around it. The city needs to do the right thing and create an easement along the river to preserve pedestrian access.

Dude chill. That’s probably just a marketing gimmick. It most likely means something similar to what American Social has.

Four Ambassadors was literally the prototype of Brickell redevelopment. In retrospect, the city shouldn’t have allowed so much development south of the river, because then the downtown core would’ve seen more development and wouldn’t be such a disaster as it is today.

not sure how the private marina at Four Amb. has gotten away with gating off the baywalk. not sure it would stand up to a lawsuit. ultimately the condo association is responsible.

Well….if your correct where is the leadership ????…why hasn’t an elected official fixed this….????….these “leaders” are useless

the fact that that silly stupid Four Ambassadors has be in existence is annoying. Native Miamian from 1962. Burdines and Jordan Marsh left, why cant this horrible condo leave?

So when do we see shovels?

Maybe after 50% presales are under contract and a construction loan is obtained.

42 stories when you can build 80 ?

Anonymous

average unit size is on the smallish side so don’t need so much height to fit them.

Beautiful design (at least, it’s not a mere square box like Melo’s buildings), great location facing the Miami River and steps away from Brickell City Centre, everything will sell quickly. However, it is incorrect to design three towers for the site and, when sales begin, a rendering with only one tower is presented, giving a false idea of more privacy and exclusivity. This practice is becoming fashionable. Baccarat and Casa Bella have just done that too.

if you are putting that much money down without doing your due diligence you kind of deserve it

That’s exactly what I think about the good project, excellent location, but the three towers still need to be shown in sales.

no requirement to show future phases in the marketing literature. buyer beware.

Concerning that renderings do not show bay walk. The developer is throwing this project together

it is possible that there is no bay walk bc this is on the river but if you want we can build a metromover from your house to bay walk

Riverwalk requirement is similar to bay walk. Doubt it’s been waived regardless of what’s shown in the rendering.

easier to rent out as AirBnb and short term rentals (i.e. generate revenue for owners as the building falls into ruin).

Love how the rendering has the uhual as the developer was kicking out the current tenants with no notice.

if tenant was wrongfully harmed it can sue for damages. developer inherited the lease.

Hopefully they have elevators as a Hotel would have.
All these condos “rented by the hour” with bigger units will have elevator issues.
Daily cleaning and housekeeping is an issue.
The higher the higher the tower the bigger the problem.

Landmark building and Arquitectonica CAN NOT be used in the same sentence.
