London’s Beast To Open 3-Story Restaurant At Miami Woman’s Club, Joining Grutman/Tao Group Restaurant

Beast Restaurant London is planning to open a multi-level location in the historic Miami Woman’s Club building in Edgewater.

The steak and crab restaurant will occupy levels 4, 5 and 6 of the building, according to plans filed with the city of Miami.

A 2-story annex building is also planned to be constructed for Beast next to the  parking lot.

The building will have a crab tank holding system installed on its mezzanine level, plans show.

Two other tenants will be located in the building: an unnamed venue planned by David Grutman’s Groot Hospitality and Tao Group and the Miami Woman’s Club.

The Groot and Tao venue will have 558 seats and stay open until 3AM. It will have an outdoor area will feature a fountain that fronts Biscayne Bay, and a total of 3 bars.

Miami’s Historic and Environmental Preservation Board is scheduled to review plans for Beast, including signage and a new annex building, at a July 6 meeting.

Awesome! This is a grand old building and I remember it fondly when I went to school here at Miami International Fine Arts College. I’m very happy that it will be a home for the Women’s Club. It will be a spectacular location for the restaurants.

Yes, I’m funny. Do you have a big c__k? Come on down! And Putin was running Trump’s administration. Price of gas has nothing to do with Biden’s administration.
By the way, what Trump has to do with the London’s Beast?!

“Trump is long gone”

But the man is still going around telling people that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him while he got people in Arizona looking at votes with a microscope. Does that sound like he’s going away to you?

So the election wasn’t “stolen” (i.e. multiple laws broken and ignored using COVID as an excuse, but a leader of a Third World Eurasian country controlled Trump?

“but a leader of a Third World Eurasian country controlled Trump?”

Nah, they were just partners in crime.

Well he’s not when coronavirus can’t be used as an excuse to treat an election like its Surveymonkey in 2024.

why do you worry some much about what he says? you think he has no evidence the election was stolen so you should n’t worry about him. what is it that makes you worry so much about him?

Wish Genting would do something with all their holdings in the area, really is holding back this part of Miami

What, you don’t like the new billboard they added?

Billboards are visual pollution.

This is my go-to pet peeve, Genting will continue to sit on the Omni, the eyesores in front of it, and the Herald building until gambling is approved in the area!

Serves them right. American companies and properties should not be allowed to be sold to any Asian countries. They aim to take over the developed world.

Just How much flipping development can an area tolerate at a given time? The signature bridge is disruptive now but it’s gonna get worse soon. I don’t think there is anything wrong wth a little pacing

That parking lot is awful. Should’ve mandated green space

Anonymous

Waterfront on one side, green space in front, tennis courts if you wanna hits balls, and all you can do is whine about more “green space?” Man Miami will never see it’s true potential as long as boring people like you live in it.

they are talking about the old miami herald building not the park next to the women club.

I live literally right next door to the Miami Women’s Club and have been overlooking construction of this British restaurant from my 32 floor balcony. Will be an elegant English addition to Miami.

Miami Woman’s Club !!! It’s that name ok with the sensitivity of the new generation? It’s not inclusive and lacks plenty of equity! 🤨

Sounds like a gathering hole for dikes.

How inclusive does it need to be? It’s a woman’s club. Take the sensitivity bs and shove it.

Anonymous

Well we NEED to be inclusive of all 500+ genders as well as non-binary and trans + tans racial folks. Check back in a couple of months and there will be a couple more protected classes.

We had already an overpriced Asian food restaurant in Miami with Komodo !!
as long as we have people willing to pay 27$ for dumplings… great for our local economy! 👍🏻… same dumplings in Yum Yum in Coral Way are 5$ ☝️

The Ursine/Eastwood mansion part of Unity on the Bay should have been relocated on the other side of the park, and restored for another restaurant and community space. Instead, Historic Preservation is busy looking at signs. Sad!

The area needs major facelift, development, density.
Still reeks borderline unsafe.

The weekly murders in Opera and the vacant former mall feel unsafe? I do not believe it!

It’s also the giant exposed parking garage at the Hilton. There’s no “eyes on the street” because of it and it takes up like 3 city blocks.

Density? Just south are Double Tree and Marriott. Across the street and going north are Opera Tower, Bay Parc, Aria, 1800 Club, Quantum, Cité and Paramount Bay.
How much denser do you want?
