The wording suggests it won’t be the tallest building under construction, rather it will be “among the tallest.”

I believe the current tallest under construction is 888 Brickell (WeWork) at 834’. The Waldorf is planned to be 1041’ which would make it unquestionably the tallest.

Two different projects, but whatever happened to that one? You would’ve thought the whole pandemic would have closed the Holiday Inn Express to facilitate its demolition.

It says “among the tallest” so I would guess it’s the Legacy. Okay would be the tallest and a building like Nativo I think is too short to be mentioned among the tallest.

Is it Legacy Tower? Or is it the 444 One Brickell twin tower project at 78 stories? Or is it Nativo?

Anonymous G

Nativo. They basically announced they are breaking ground on their IG page.

Anonymous

It says downtown, nor Brickell.

Anonymous G

Its not Okan you guys. Their IG page hasn’t been active. No construction Permits have been filed with the city. IT IS MOST LIKELY Nattivo Miami.

They are suppose to break ground of the 15th. Its not the Skyrise either and Waldof Astoria isn’t scheduled to break ground later this year.

Most likely Waldorf Astoria or SkyRise

Anonymous

Definitely the skyrise

Anonymous G

Not the skyrise either. No permits have been filed etc.

Did TNM add “among” or did I misread it the first time?

Anonymous

I felt the same way. I thought I read it wrong but I guess not. “Among” wasn’t there at first… one more hint, I guess😅

Anonymous

Right, I would take that as meaning it definitely is not any of the projects that would be the tallest.

Anonymous

Maybe it’s that hotel and convention center where the old Miami arena used to be.

Okan

well… how many have gotten approval to build and then nothing happens… right, several.
When the dirt starts flying, we will believe it may be built.
*But then look at the Spire in Chicago – foundation built and flop.
Sunny Isles, foundation built and three floors then flop. They dug that one up and started over.
