Mana To Break Ground In Wynwood Within Three Months

Mana To Break Ground In Wynwood Within Three Months

Set your calendar: Moishe Mana is promising to begin building soon.

Mana will begin construction on unspecified buildings in Wynwood “in the next three months” to show that he actually means business, he told the Herald.

Completion won’t come quickly however, with full buildout of his Wynwood complex to take a decade or two.

Mana is now seeking investors for his Wynwood project, where he plans a showroom for Chinese and Latin Americans to sell to each other.

He has also purchased many properties in the Flagler Street area, which he hopes can become a tech hub. Mana has been pushing the city to switch to a cobblestone or paver look for the street to give it more of a neighborhood feel.

Just this week, Mana completed the purchase of a 15,000 square foot surface parking lot at 151 N.E. 1st Street  for $9.27 million.

In total, Mana has spent over $350 million on Miami real estate.

break ground to erect a sign for a future development site….

Seriously.

That same Herald article says he’s filed NOTHING with the city (or whomever he has to file with).

Additionally, in the Herald article, it states that he stalled the Flagler street renovation, because he wants a say in it, to add some brick pavers instead of normal street paving. Not only is he not building, he is impeding the cities progress! SMH…

It should read… MANA to break WIND in 3 months.. LMAO

I’ll believe it when I see the buildings topped off…he is just a land speculator..

This guy is such a joke that even the article posted on here doesn’t believe it. with statements like, “to show that he actually means business” and “promising to actually begin building soon”. Pff lol.

Mana is Scum

It makes me think he’s aware that he’s considered a joke and criticized on forums like this. I just don’t get why the Herald keeps running to him like he actually is willing to build anything. We’ve got Swire, Brigjtline, and the Miami World Center investing billions and putting shovel to dirt to transform huge swaths of this city yet the Herald is running exposes on the Clown of Flagler who can’t even provide upkeep on his derelict properties.

I don’t think he is aware that he is considered a joke. Last month I was at The Real Deal showcase in Wynwood and he was sitting there answering question as if he was a real developer. Then he got up and started on a tirade against Donald Trump, I am sure most people there agreed with what he was saying politically, but it was totally inappropriate for the event. Just because you are a Billionaire and can fork over 350 million in buying lots around Miami does not make you a developer. Once he has completed these projects (in a few decades) then he can call himself a developer, until then, he is just a flipper.

Technically he has not flipped anything yet… so he cannot even call himself that. What he is doing is making it so expensive to buy/ develop in downtown by using other peoples money to buy( and later sell) at artificially high prices. In the mean time, he will keep the properties derelict and abandoned for years upon years, making it that much harder to revitalize downtown. He is a sham and a scam artist so its only logical the Herald loves him.

Agreed on the sham and scam, but let me add that he is just a “socialite” personality. Miami’s own local version of a male Paris Hilton. In the local limelight while producing nothing but his own type of entertainment for local media. Full of hot air and a Narcissistic personality as all socialites tend to have.

I was there as well…total disaster!

I attended a ULI event where he rambled only about Trump. The guy couldn’t make one clear sentence. He kept ranting and raving that he is going to bring technology + people to create the biggest and most successful development project.
Most people that attend agreed that he was a fool.

He himself is admitting “Oh, it’ll take a decade.” Are you kidding me?

2027 and he thinks that rendering is going to be considered ‘iconic’ ‘revolutionary’ or whatever buzzwords you want to use? At this point I’m honestly hoping he’s the slumlord we think he is, because then at least he might cash in and sell the land to someone who will actually do something of interest with it. It’s either that, or that he and his people are incompetent beyond belief.

Why would Chinese want to come to Miami to sell to Latin America? Why not just go there… say in Panama?

Or Alibaba

At an unspecified future time Mana is promising to build on some undisclosed properties in Wynwood. So an announcement about nothing to placate the Herald after their yearly fluff piece on him. Hes actually “built” in the Ultramont Mall if you count the renovation for the store across the street from the Langford.

ok, great hes spent money on real estate. I’m so tired of him though. He’s owned this for 10 years already doing nothing. NOTHING. Meanwhile we’ve had to read like a thousand articles about him. Enough already, get outta town…

Again, what has this guy actually ever built from scratch?

Anonymous

He’s done a lot. Here’s an example, his Mana Contemporary in NJ: http://manacontemporary.com/ Aside from dropping all that cash on real estate here, he’s a guy who’s betting on Flagler Street properties. That’s rare. Most speculators want land on the water.

Mana is Scum

I think this shows at least his PR outfit is aware of this site. Who else would link us to some useless website documenting his art warehouses that he essentially did a glorified renovation on in NJ? It’s not even a website showing he’s built anything.

Wow, Mana can’t do anything right on this board. BTW, I don’t work for Mana. But you won’t believe it anyway.

Mana is Scum

One stroll through Downtown and taking a look at his properties and you’ll see why he’s so disliked. His properties are blighted, unkept and borderline dangerous. He’s owned these properties for well over a decade and they’re actually in worse shape than when he got here. While Swire, AAF and MWC are transforming areas in the immediate vicinity, his properties detiorate. Go walk around at night that area and you’ll see it’s a time warp to 1980s Crack epidemic Miami. That’s why we don’t like him. He’s managed to keep an otherwise valuable area a slum.

Wish they didn’t, it’s all crap that will be slums in 10 years.

So the render is basically the Flagler Street renovation separate from his “plans,” which seems to be putting sheetmetal over the a couple low-rise’s facades which were supposed to have been redeveloped around the last boom as part of the Flagler First development, and covering the former Ritz Hotel/Peacock Alley with white brick further from its historic restoration potential. What “grand” plans! Sad!

to be fair… how much NEW construction have we seen in Wynwood from the other bunch of developer’s who own so much real estate there ?
