Melo Group finalized a deal this week to provide water and sewer service for 710 residential units at Square Station, which will begin construction soon down the block from the Arsht Center.
The developer will pay a connection charge estimated to be $744,435, along with a Biscayne Basin connection charge of $451,560.
Carlos Ferreira de Melo and Martin Ferreira de Melo signed the agreement on June 13. The county approved it this week.
Square Station is also supposed to include 15,000 square feet of commercial space, but the utilities deal only calls for the residential units. The project will also include 946 parking spaces.
