A deal is near between Miami and Air Serbia for regularly scheduled flights, according to Ex-Yu Aviation News.
Miami Dade Aviation’s Emir Pineda was in Serbia last week for talks with the airline.
Pineda was interviewed by national broadcaster RTS, where he said the flights could be announced later this year or early next year.
The service would run between Miami and Belgrade, and operate two or three times weekly.
Air Serbia has a fleet of just four long-haul Airbus A330s, and Miami would be the airline’s third North American destination, after New York and Chicago.
