Obviously you haven’t been anywhere north of Aventura, south of Dadeland, east of South Beach, and west of Doral.

Newsflash, s**thole countries have better airports than the developed world. Where do you think all that foreign aid you love so much goes to?

So, I’ve flown out of MIA twice in a month.
I love the airport.
Easy to park on level with TSA Precheck 1, and easy out at gate D22.

Gate D60 sucked though.
Not 3rd world…just a lot of walking.

MIA is great, it is no surprise to me that people are voting with their dollars and MIA is breaking records.

Try using a ride share or pick up a friend at MIA, and you may understand the issues better. Also try flying to other airports with great design and modern comforts.

Folks are continuously complaining. If you don’t like living here, just pack up and leave please.

I am not in disagreement with the comments about the airport quality, but the article is about the amount of passengers that flew through MIA. It is not about what they thought about the airport, etc.

MIA is about to begin a $7 billion capital improvement program. This project will include the demolishing and rebuilding of the aging Central terminal and numerous other major enhancements. When finished in about 15 years, MIA will be among the better airports in the US.

MIA needs to be moved out west of the Turnpike.

The turnpike needs to connect directly to the airport, not funnel and reroute people directly into the most congested part of the city where people turn into flight or die mode.

No one should live outdoors via Turnpike / country living… suburb….. we are a dense miami where you can take metro to airport cheap and clean
