Miami Could Host Super Bowl In 2027

Miami could soon find out if it will be hosting the Super Bowl in 2027.

An announcement could be made as soon as this month, when a meeting of NFL owners is scheduled.

According to the Palm Beach Post, Miami leaders are optimistic that they will be chosen to host the event.

However, Los Angeles also announced recently that it would like to host the Super Bowl that year, which came as a surprise.

Miami has hosted 11 Super Bowls, more than any other city.

If we can get the Metro connection to Hard Rock we would be a lock for many more events!

Sounds like they’re going to rush it for the 2026 WC, but knowing Miami, I doubt it could ever be completed by then

Right, spend billions on an extension only used for events that happen every so often while traffic only gets worse between Downtown and South Beach or Doral.

Extending the mover to Edgewater, Wynwood and Mid Town would help a lot.

You can’t walk the few blocks from Adrienne Arsht stop to Edgwater, Lazy Boy??? At 74, I do it daily.

A park and ride station could be at the end of the extension next to Hard Rock stadium to be used by Miramar/Pembroke Pines residents who work downtown.

Wonderful!
I hope it happens. Beautiful Sunny Miami is the best place for it. Los Angeles is dirty, to say the least.

They’ll come here, just like they do with the F1 race.

Both LA and Miami would be good selections. LA is even sunnier … remember Prince getting drenched in 2007. Notice that Miami’s Lucy Gou keeps traveling to LA, cause it’s a fun place.

Statistically, LA is barely sunnier (and FYI Sand Diego actually slightly less sunny than Miami) on a yearly basis, and not in February anyways. It rained just before the last Super Bowl in LA and the stairways got slippery and some fell and got injured.

Hard Rock is a nice stadium, but SoFi is consistently ranked #1. Even Taylor Swift is taking her talents to SoFi, not once, not twice, but 5 times later this year, lol. But, since the 2026 SB was just awarded to SF, my bet for the 2027 SB is Miami.

LA is sunnier than Miami. Remember Prince getting soaked in 2007. Both LA and MIA would be good choices. Lucy Guo moved to Miami but travels often to LA cause it’s a fun place.

Have Musk bore a tunnel to the Calder Casino because leaving Hard Rock Stadium after big events is a nightmare.

you clearly moved here 2 years ago and have no idea that the limestone wouldn’t allow for underground tunnels to be possible in miami.

then how was the tunnel to the port built?

…with billions and billions of dollars for less than 4300 feet of tunnel

A Super Bowl inside an NBA stadium….are you the same person who cannot fathom why people drive to work? The amount of real-world disconnect here is astounding.
