A photo shows Miami-Dade’s new and old courthouses.
The new courthouse is replacing the older one across the street.
The older Dade County Courthouse was completed in 1928 and became the tallest building south of Baltimore. It was also the tallest municipal building in the United States.
GFO Acquisitions LLC, which is a subsidiary of GFO Investments, has reportedly submitted a bid of about $52.3 million for the older building.
