Miami Hotels Are Booming, With Room Revenue Up 14% In January

Miami’s hotels are seeing strong gains this year, with the area among the strongest markets for in the U.S.

In January 2018:

Miami ranked second highest nationwide for room occupancy. For the month, occupancy increased 6% over  January 2017, from 76.7% to 81.3%.

Revenue per available room in Miami-Dade was $189.01, up 14.3% compared to January 2017 when it was $165.31. For the month, Miami’s RevPAR ranked third highest nationwide.

Miami ranked third nationwide for average daily room rate at $232.42, compared to $215.63 – up 7.7% from January 2017.

1,381,863 rooms were sold in Miami-Dade, up from the 1,304,143 sold in the prior January.
