Miami International Airport Breaks Record For Most Passengers Ever

November 28 was the busiest day ever in Miami International Airport’s history, according to the Miami-Dade Aviation Department.

A total of 164,000 passengers flew to or from MIA on that day – an all-time record number for the airport.

It is a record that likely won’t last very long, the Aviation Department said.

MIA normally experiences peak traffic days around New Years, and airlines have added 19 percent more seats this December compared to the same month in 2019.

November was the first month since the start of the pandemic to have exceeded traffic levels for the same month in 2019.

MIA’s gains accelerated towards the end of November when airlines like Spirit, American and Frontier added a significant amount of seats and border restrictions eased.

Overall, November traffic was up six percent compared to the same period in 2019, but increased further to a 14 percent gain between November 19 and November 30.

I believe it. I flew out of MIA on a 6:30am flight last week, and the security line was packed when I got there at 5:45! I was expecting to walk right through security so early, but now I’ll know for next time.

Pre-Check was invented by Slyvester McMonkey McBean.

(Google it)

It means sooo much less that it 10 years ago.

If you’ve been to MIA recently, you’d know that the Precheck lines are now just as long as the regular lines

The demand for flights to Miami is so strong, that it is almost impossible to travel on the day planned and on a direct flight. Besides the prices have gone up two to three times. The real inflation of demand.

There are small minded and backwards people everywhere. Most places in the south are not plague by crime and lawlessness, life is more affordable and family oriented, I prefer Miami but it’s becoming unaffordable

It’s a 3rd world shitehole. I never seen a more worst airport in my life. I shudder to pass through it whenever i have to. To add insult to injury, the crowd is uncontrollably huge like you’ve never seen before. TSA is trash and i am holding a $12,000 business class ticket and don’t have a seperate line for security and stand for 1.5 hours to get my turn at the security barely making it to my flight. Burn it down and rebuild.
