Miami To Orlando A Top Ten Finalist For Hyperloop One

Miami to Orlando is one of ten winning finalists of the Hyperloop One Global Challenge, the company has announced.

Hyperloop One says they will now work closely with each winning team to validate and analyze their proposals further, and provide initial ridership forecasts, business case and preliminary technical analysis of the route and corridor, tailored to the needs of the individual route.

If built, the Miami to Orlando route would take just 25 minutes to make the 257 mile run.

Engineering firm AECOM is said to be leading the Miami proposal, which also has the backing of  the Florida Department of Transportation, the Miami-Dade Transportation and Public Works Department, and the Miami-Dade Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Why waste money on this unrealistic futuristic trash when we have high speed rail today, everyone has their head so far up Elon Musk’s asshole they dont even realize that this has nothing to do with Elon

Hmmm, I have made the trip in about 3 and a half hours. Of course that was on a Sunday with hardly any traffic, but I see their point. I personally am all for fast transportation. A Hyperloop line may not happen anytime soon but I believe it will eventually come to pass.

It took me 26 hours from Miami to Pensacola trying to get out of Irma’s way. It was much better coming home…just 17. Ahhhh Florida, love it or leave it.

This is hyper-BS. These guys don’t even have the technology yet, apart from some chunk of metal traveling 1 mile distance at a speed slower than Chinese bullet train. I sure hope Florida doesn’t get hoodwinked into financing this scam.

That is what the hyperloop lobbyist told the head of Florida Department of Transportation, the Miami-Dade Transportation and Public Works Department, and the Miami-Dade Metropolitan Planning Organization and obviously they believed it.

The incredible route would be Miami – New York. There are already over a hundred flights daily between the two cities, hyperloop could cut the trip time down to 1 hour total from 5-6 hours.
