Miami Ranks First Nationwide For Residential Price Increase Over The Past Year

Miami was the top major city in the country for residential real estate price appreciation over the past year, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller index released today.

Home prices in Miami were up 10.5% between August 2013 and August 2014, beating out San Francisco and Las Vegas for the top spot.

Prices in Miami are still well below their 2006 bubble peak (see chart below).
