Miami World Tower Reaches Level 50 Of Construction

Construction at Miami World Tower has reached the 50th floor, a new photo by Phillip Pessar shows.

That means that top off is near, with a total of 53 floors planned at the apartment tower.

The top off height is planned at 579 feet above ground, or 590 feet above sea level.

There’s only one existing rental apartment tower in Miami that is taller (Brickell’s Panorama Tower), but multiple others are under construction or about to break ground that will be taller (including Chetrit’s 648-foot Miami River tower in Brickell, and Mast Capital’s two rental buildings at 1420 S. Miami Ave, at 604 feet and 691 feet).

Miami World Tower’s balconies are designed to appear as wave crests approaching the shore, the developer said in a 2020 submission to the city. The overall effect is that of a building in motion, the developer added.

Miami World Tower 1 is planned to include:

  • 565 apartments
  • 3,000 square feet of full service restaurant
  • 401 parking spaces on levels

To the west, another tower is likely on land that is currently used as a staging area.

Nichols is the architect.

Lalezarian is the developer.

just a few years removed from being the Camillus House location where homeless literally lined the surrounding streets – how far this area has come is astonishing.

Loved this from the first renderings…and…it’s being built to actually look better than those renderings….a beauty and classy looking as well….

Agreed. I was afraid it might ultimately look gimmicky, but it indeed looks much better IRL. Hopefully it also ages well. It’s a pity I can’t say the same for the building next to it (on left in picture).

To the left do you mean Caoba?

Unlike this cereal box, Caoba has little caps on the tops of its boxes, covering mechanical equipment almost in the form of spires. Yes, architecture here is that sad.

The design of this tower looks better than many of the higher end condo buildings that have been going up recently, and puts nearby m/f like the Bezel and Caoba to shame.

Lot’s of glass and an alternating balcony design that actually has movement, not just a lackluster gimmick like some other buildings around.

Still a box with a flat roof. You can put lipstick on a swine.

Great addition to the Miami World Center skyline.

I wonder if those waves will be highlighted with some LED at night. It would be pretty cool.

The parking podium is nearly invisible and doesn’t mess with the tower’s stance. Great job.

It would be nice if the General Contractors/Construction Managers are also mentioned in these articles. Those are the people behind the construction of such magnificent projects
