Miami Worldcenter Sells Parcel To LA Real Estate Firm For $16.8M

A Los Angeles-based real estate investment firm has purchased a parcel from Miami Worldcenter, according to a source.

The transaction took place on Friday but isn’t yet showing in county records.

90 Northeast 11th Street, along with an alley behind the property, sold for $16.8 million. The sale includes 21,000 square feet of land, and equals exactly $800 per square foot.

An 11,250 square foot building, known for an “Adios” mural, will be demolished. A demolition permit had already been filed in October 2017, but was never pulled.

It is just a matter of time before Club Space shuts down. Judging by the photo, this sale and eventual development, is right on the same block. This whole area is about to change dramatically.

Yeah, now you’ll have a place to park your car when you go there.

As far as I can tell, this site was never shown on any of the plans, maps or renderings that I saw

No, this wasn’t part of the revealed MWC renders.

Price reflects the “club” premium.

Honestly, I don’t weep the loss of these clubs when they’ll move to appropriate locations like Wynwood.

MWC is a huge disappointment so far.

They’ve built one condo tower, a bunch of parking garages and destroyed the city grid.

They built 2 towers and how can something be a when it’s not even finished?

MWC has barely begun. There’s like another 4-5 towers that we know of that are yet to even break ground with two of those scheduled for Q4 this year. The city grid destruction you speak of is just the 7th street closure which will give Downtown an auto free Giralda/Lincoln Road type environment.

Its a very dissapointing construction site for sure…

How was the City grid destroyed? Two roads were closed (only to cars) to provide for pedestrian-only access along the existing street grid. Or you think car traffic is what makes ‘the grid’?
