Most Significant Apple Store In The Southeastern United States Opens At Aventura Mall This Week

An Apple Store will open this week at Aventura Mall, and it is being called the company’s “significant retail store in the southeastern United States” by 9to5mac.

A grand opening is scheduled for August 10.

Apple already has a giant store at the mall, but it is regularly packed with customers and more space is needed.

Around 344 employees are expected to work at the new store, an increase of 40 from the current Apple store in Aventura.

The new store has a hint of Miami Modern architecture and will include a roof that mimics ocean waves. The design is “consistent with the marine climate and classic mid-century design of the region,” according to Chris Brathwaite, senior director of Apple retail design told the Herald.

Inside, the store will have amphitheater-style seating for hundreds, and the seats will be covered with leather. Huge sheets of glass will open to an outdoor outdoor public garden area.

Apple was rumored last year to be looking at Miami Worldcenter for another store, but so far no announcement has been made.

Somebody doesn’t know how terrible Apple products were in the early to mid-90s.

That’s why I have an android, so I don’t have to go to a stupid store every other day to fix stuff…

This could be happening downtown Miami at MWC.
But we live in de-centralized cities.

why aren’t you able to walk to Brickell City Center? I know the service at that location sucks but still, don’t have to drive.

I do, I wouldn’t drive to Aventura for the world. Don’t like the place

apple needs to move to a bigger space at BCC. They outgrew that location since opening

They will have to eventually move the one from BCC to a bigger location in the area.

Yeah, like MWC

Actually, this type of architecture would make Miami Worldcenter warm and inviting rather than sterile and unimaginative.

344 employees…and they’ll all be working at the exact same time

See, new construction can be mindful to existing architecture of a region.

An Apple Store would make sense in the Miami Design District.

not at all… You have to pay for parking. Aventura Mall – free. & the amount of people living within walking distance of the Design District is very low.

A playground for people to play with and look at, apple equipment. No one is buying anything there. This new store with seating, will be a hangout.
