Notice Of Commencement Filed For Wynwood 29, Site Work Underway

Site work is now underway at a Wynwood project that will include two buildings across the street from each other.

For now, the project is known as Wynwood 29.

It is next to another active construction project called Wynwood Green, being developed by Lennar.

According to a Notice of Commencement filed on March 5, tree relocation, planting, and removal is now underway at the Wynwood 29 site to make way for construction.

Wynwood 29 will include:

  • 248 apartments
  • 26,651 square feet of retail
  • 372 parking spaces

The two buildings that are being built will rise 12 stories and 8 stories.

PRH Cho Dragon Wynwood, LLC is the developer. The company is a partnership between Related Group and Metro 1.

Beauchamp Construction is the contractor, according to a construction permit.

Let’s go Wynwood. 29th is really about to look different. Looking forward for the other Wynwood projects to come up.

Density will make Wynwood more walkable. Now we just need a metromover!

Stop building so much car parking in Wynwood. Has no one heard of induced demand?

Once Wynwood is 60% development and transit has been extended. Then they should go to minimum to no parking but until then….

We aren’t giving up our cars no matter how much y’all cry, people will live next to a metromover station in brickell and still have a car.

Some people don’t understand the option. Once they extend the MetroMover (which I believe they will), I can only imagine the slew of new residents who will ride it and MetroRail the more Wynwood is built up which puts less wear an tear on their vehicle.

It was an option or a baseless demand?

I can’t see many people going out for a dinner date in Wynwood and taking the metromover or rail
