Groundbreaking for Okan Tower is now days away, according to an email sent yesterday by the project’s in-house brokers.
City records show that a Special Events permit for temporary tents at the Okan site is now pending.
According to the Special Events permit, the groundbreaking event will take place on June 17.
The tower will have an “alluring curved façade and soaring height,” the email says, providing a “striking profile against the downtown backdrop.”
Okan Tower will include 163 residential condo units, 236 short-term rental residences managed by Hilton, and a Hilton hotel.
The tower is planned to top off at 70 stories, or 902 feet.
