One Eleven Wynwood Hotel By Sonder Will Soon Begin Construction, Designed By Swiss Architect

Developers have announced plans to build the One Eleven Wynwood Hotel.

The five-story building will include 72 hotel suites managed by Sonder, a “tech-enabled” hospitality company. This will be Sonder’s flagship property in Miami.

At the ground floor will be over 6,000 square feet of retail, with a rooftop pool and dining area that is over 6,000 square feet.

Construction is expected to begin in early 2020, with completion in summer of 2021.

The developers are Miami’s Andres Klein, Founder and Principal of BH Investment Group, New York’s Andres Hogg of Hogg Holdings and Eduardo Vargas, long-time Wynwood investor and former gallery owner.

Switzerland’s RDR architects is the architect, with Alain Bartroli Architecture the local architect of record.

And people complain about ARQ!? Look at the Wynwood 28 project released today, leaps and bounds more creative and architecturally designed than this junk. Mr. Klein, there is still time to redesign the facade, please!

I like the idea. Just needs a different color scheme; too much red/orange. Cool design though.

This, basically, and shamelessly, is the movie theatre at Lincoln and Alton.

This looks like a small boutique hotel. They are all guest suites? Wow! Based on the way it looks with that scaffolding cable mid-century modern inspired look, it reminds me of some of the mid century modern buildings I have seen in New York City.

I’m not the biggest fan for reasons already said, but the execution is right this time, unlike Related and Arqueeftectonica’s boxes and jumbled balconies.
