No way…… I prefer La Carreta !!! ,,,, coffee is only one peso 😀

Well sorry some of us prefer the finer things in life. With your logic, I prefer Maxwell House. With the price of an entire can, coffee is about twenty-five cents a brewed pot, and I don’t have to wait in line.

What line?
Please
Maxwell House can’t compete with Bustelo

Actually the $1.50 cafe con leches in cuban bodegas are much tastier than the $5 lattes in starbucks or any fancy coffee shops. What finer things?

Some people just automatically associate a high price tag with the “finer things”.

not to mention the price for a cortadito. Come on, i rather sit at any Cuban cafeteria and hear all the yapping and engage in frivolous conversation than sit at Casa Tua and be ignored by all the wanna be’s around me

Different tastes for different people. As someone who does not drink coffee this argument means little to me. However, I can tell you that the Tiramisu at Casa Tua is definitely worth the price.

There’s a huge disconnect here:
La Carretta: Terrible quality Cuban Espresso that is overpriced at 50 cents or whatever it is
Casa Tua: Fancy espresso that is overpriced
Anywhere in Italy: Fancy espresso that is the same price as La Carretta.

Started with a bad attitude. At 9:30 p.m. we tried to enter only to be stopped by the asst manager and was told we could not go in because it was full to capacity ( half the tables were empty ) i said id wait untill other left and was told it didn’t matter how many left it was still too full. When he went to get manager another employee told me that the real reason no one was allowed in was that since it was 9:30 and they close at 10:00 the manager didn’t want to work late and if they allowed anyone in at 9:30 they might stay past closing time. This has never happened to me. Ill never go back.

I went there on Thursday night and on the way out I saw the guy at the door saying the capacity thing to everyone trying to come in. Be glad that happened to you. I hope they fix this place as it would be nice as I live upstairs but my experience was awful. You couldn’t even get a glass of wine as they made that complicated with multiple sizes (1 oz,3 oz,5 oz) etc then you order and bartenders go to the vino display insert a staff card, punch in a code and wait for it to pour into the glass, then do again for next glass. Not only tacky, the bottle ran out and not kidding it was almost 15 mins to refill the display. Only a complete jerkoff with someone else Capital would fuck up making money at a bar. The next owner should do better. Everything is 18% gratuity even though you basically do the work. What a ducking joke…
