Ultra attracts a mix of people from all over the world.

Mostly degenerates from Georgia and Northern Florida

Most people involved in the shootings and acts of violence were locals according to the Miami beach police, why people get so upset when someone tells the truth

No one died, just millions of dollars worth of drugs sold!

And taken peacefully. Leave our drugs alone!!

Tell that to the people murdered by the cartels you fund.

Dumb DESantis is trying to get open carry bill passed in Florida. The South Beach crowd won’t just have guns, they will be coming here to get them, waking around with AK47s shooting in the air and in more lethal road rage encounters — oppose him quick before it’s too late!!!

No way …. I don’t want my kids in elementary school readying adult content by a bunch of bright color genzers 🤨

Gloria

Is adult content two dads or two moms raising a family? You’ve been brainwashed to think people are showing porn to kids. That is what the Governor is insinuating. With social media you can take a clip of any extremist and then portray everyone that same way. It’s very insulting, degrading and dangerous 😒

Except I don’t see that situation happening in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, and Georgia, where open carry is legal.

Florida is the third most populous state in the country. I respect rich agricultural and rural counties where firearms can be justified, but we can’t keep legislating like there is a “one size fits all” for Florida – we need more nuanced legislations.

Anonymous

Even if it were illegal in those states, there would be nobody around to see it and be threaten by it.

Have we lowered the bar so far that “no one died” is the standard for success?

In America, yes.

Heat game, Ultra and more happening all in a small geographic area and not one hitch. City of Miami did a great job alongside City of Miami PD. All the restaurants were packed all weekend, a much needed boost. Now we need MWC to hurry the hell up and speed up the build-outs.

A fantastic job! World class. I went to that heat game against BK. Not a single issue with traffic or noise. In fact I was surprised how silent and quiet they made Ultra this year. Driving into the Stadium you could barley hear it and it was next door. They stepped up their noise dampening game. When I lived at the 500 in 2010 you could feel the concert vibrating the entire building.

I made big money on Ultra selling empanadas by the entrance

Amazing, hope one day they could experience it with a extend metromover that takes them to wynwood after midnight.

By the time that happens, all of today’s attendees will be in nursing homes.

Develop nicer hip spots around the metro in Brickell. This would work faster.

Fighting would ensue when it breaks down and a homeless man accuses a raver of stealing his crackpipe.

In other words, you don’t want to pay for Brightline or Metrorail, so you want your free electric shortbus to your overpriced Wynwood bars.

I love ultra, been more than 8 times, don’t do any drugs just like thousands of attendees don’t either, it’s the best festival in the world, no violence just love for music….stop the hate and LIVE YOUR LIFE!!!

There should have another annual festival in that location. Something like lollapalooza in Chicago which is in their downtown

Many more actually. With the population increase it’s bound to happen.

They used to have the Rolling Loud festival in that area before it moved to Dolphins Stadium.

We should be very grateful for this decision. I went to the most recent Rolling Loud and Ultra and let me tell you… the crowds could not be more different. In Ultra, most everyone is respectful and just there to vibe. Not the case at all with Rolling Loud.

more appropriate than the premier open space in the center of the city?

They should redo bay front park and build out the venue that’s already there to accommodate bigger crowds. The park is run down and a poor representation of Miami. Considering it’s where most tourists from the cruises go it’s sad we can’t do better. Makes you wonder what they do with all the money they earn from these events 🤨 Get out and vote and let’s bring fresh perspectives to the area.

Same with all the parks!

Anonymous

Yet we need more parks according to some. Quality over quantity first.

I pity the small mind that looks at the world as one side or another. There’s something called a shared experience where we all live in harmony with love and respect.

Anonymous

In our divided political reality, how can you *not* look at it as one side vs the other? For example, with the most recent shooting, isn’t it clear there are 2 very distinct sides to this issue, as well?

But… a “large crowd “ was the excuse for Memorial Day Weekend!

Why don’t you move to a state that fix your needs..and you can use your pronouns ..😜
so far we have 22 billions surplus, parents want their kids not to be groomed or indoctrinated… and GAG that is part of the LGBT agrees with him, including my self..
GAG is gays against grooming ( we fought for acceptance and equal rights, not to groom kids)

That’s what happens when people don’t have an alternative… He got lucky with the Florida weather. His policies and judgment get worse by the day

Anonymous

At least Trump invited gay speakers to the Republican National Convention and promoted gay rights and inclusion. These growing anti-freedom laws from the Florida legislatures are alarming and setting us back decades to the prohibition and civil rights days. Florida was the best it had ever been until DeSantis took office, ugh!

Anonymous

Yeah? He won an election in a state where the other option was a former failed governor that lacked charisma… He likes to take credit for things that are way above him, and it’s ALL superficial. The actual policies he promotes are backwards and radical, and the people he backs are crooked.

why people need to bring these topics into TNM discussion is ridiculous. TNM should these, this isn’t the forum. Find a politics site or twitter or something else, I might agree with your comment and political view, but I think you’re an a hole for spouting it here. Why not also in restaurant reviews, and movie reviews.

Move to California if you like Florida, but want the opposite government.

Anonymous

We don’t want California. We want freedom, prosperity and respect and love between people.

Being able to make irreversible decisions in your life at an early age tends to do that.

Anonymous

Somehow the Florida Governor made a HUGE small minded mistake of judgment. Do you actually think irreversible surgeries are a direct result of colorful books, theater and free speech? I think he went to Harvard Law School so I doubt it’s innocent ignorance. It’s pure political manipulation and willful callus destruction of human life through misinformation for political expedience. Disgusting. Stop it!
