A 16-acre oceanfront compound in Manalapan has been listed for $200 million, making it one of the costliest homes listed for sale anywhere in the world, according to the Wall Street Journal.
It includes a 62,200 square foot main house, built on the 1940s and recently reconstructed. There is also a separate seven-bedroom house called the Mango House, along with two oceanfront cottages with four bedrooms. Also included is a manager’s house, manager’s offices, and employee apartments.
The property has over 1,000-feet of frontage both on the ocean and on the Intracoastal Waterway. An air-conditioned and furnished tunnel runs beneath A1A, which bisects the property. It connects to a guest wing which sits on the Intracoastal.
The property is owned by the Ziff family, former owners of the Ziff-Davis publishing company.
