Panorama Tower Residents Will Have 1 Gigabit Fiber Service

Residents of Panorama Tower will have access to 1 Gigabit per second fiber-to-the-home internet when the building opens, with a network that is scalable to even faster speeds in the future.

A press release issued yesterday states that the building will top off at 830 feet (although the developer recently applied to build even taller.)

Florida East Coast Realty, LLC Names Atlantic Broadband Exclusive Communications Services Provider for Miami’s Panorama Tower
Local Internet, Phone, and TV Provider to Deliver Most Advanced Fiber-based Services to Residents and Businesses in and around Miami’s 830-foot-tall Global Landmark
MIAMI–Atlantic Broadband, the nation’s 12th largest cable operator, announced today that it has been named the exclusive provider of advanced TV, Internet, and communication services for Panorama Tower, a new, 83-story development by Florida East Coast Realty, LLC (FECR) to include 821 luxury apartments on Brickell Avenue in the heart of Downtown Miami. With construction anticipated to be completed by the end of 2017, Panorama Tower will be the tallest building in the State of Florida and the tallest residential tower on the eastern seaboard south of New York City.

“Atlantic Broadband is proud to be the exclusive communications and entertainment provider for this global landmark and has committed to investing millions of dollars in order to deliver the next generation of communications services”

Atlantic Broadband will invest $4.5 million to create a redundant fiber-to-the-unit network that will ensure that Panorama Tower will have a communications and entertainment services suite that matches its 830-foot-tall global landmark status both today and well into the future.

The company also will offer advanced business services, such as Metro Ethernet that can scale up to 1 Gigabit (GB) per second symmetrically and Hosted Voice Solutions that together enable new levels of business productivity to the commercial and retail spaces in and around the property, including a 208-room hotel, 100,000-square-foot medical office space, and 50,000 square feet of high-end retail space.

For residents, Atlantic Broadband will be deploying its multi-screen digital entertainment TiVo service with greatly expanded options for live, recorded, and on-demand television and web content on any screen, wherever a customer may be – including easy access to Netflix. In addition, Atlantic Broadband will offer Panorama residents Internet speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second with capabilities to scale well beyond that in the future. This will enable Panorama Tower residents to download an entire digital movie (14 GB) in under two minutes and to work from their apartments with an Internet connection that is faster than what exists in most modern offices.

Atlantic Broadband is also deploying a solution to enable high-quality carrier neutral cellular coverage throughout the complex utilizing a distributed antenna system (DAS) connected to its all-fiber network. This will enable residents and guests to use their mobile devices seamlessly, in and around the property limits, regardless of the wireless carrier.

“Atlantic Broadband is proud to be the exclusive communications and entertainment provider for this global landmark and has committed to investing millions of dollars in order to deliver the next generation of communications services,” said Atlantic Broadband’s President and CEO, Richard Shea. “Panorama Tower is a massive undertaking with its three-million-square-foot complex, and we’re excited to deploy the fastest and best technologies for area residents and businesses, as well as be part of history in having a hand in one of the biggest projects in Miami and on the eastern seaboard.”

“In the planning stages for Panorama Tower, we sought partners who were committed to delivering the ‘best of the best’ in design, technology, and innovation, and Atlantic Broadband had the vision and expertise that we needed,” said Tibor Hollo, FECR Chairman and President. “We are excited to work with such an innovative and flexible local partner to provide our residents and guests with the fastest Internet, impeccable wireless coverage – no matter the carrier – and superior TV entertainment offerings.”

About Panorama Tower

Destined to be an iconic, global landmark, Panorama Tower will rise 83 stories over the Miami skyline. The mixed-use residential development will be situated on the largest parcel of property in the epicenter of Brickell Avenue. In total, the existing office towers and new building will represent approximately three million square feet of construction.

The 19-story pedestal of Panorama Tower will contain over 100,000 square feet of medically-oriented office space. Underneath the medical facility will be a 2,000 car parking garage. Lining the garage to the east on Brickell Bay Drive will be a 208-room hotel. Further, both the ground floor and 2nd levels of the pedestal will include over 50,000 square feet of high-end retail outlets and restaurant space. Above the pedestal will be the residential tower, consisting of 64 stories and 821 luxury rental apartments.

My friends on the beach are not too happy with Atlantic Broadband. It goes down way too often and they seem to have a lack of redundancy.

Nearly all of the recent outages have been due to properly marked lines being cut during construction.

What have U done to make Miami prestigious, creating a place that is a City Whithin a City, w all types of facilities imaginable, making the best use of the land?? U R a probably a frustrated architect w nothing to ur Name but Enviousness, creating crazy looking Bldgs w totally wasted space indoors full of hallways & columns in the middle of units & no Panoramic views !!! Or just Nobody who likes to criticize to feel important!!!!
I love the design of Panorama Tower, as it blends w its enormity of 3 million SF, on land that is not rock, thus showing it’s stability & strength as a great accomplishment of Design & Engineering .

I am not an architect nor an engineer. I never questioned if it used the land/space well, or if the interiors were grand open spaces, or even if it had or lacked facilities. You seem to know a lot about the building. I don’t doubt that you are even involved with it somehow. If you are, good for you. However, that does not change my opinion. You are entitled to yours, I am entitled to mine. Having said that…still boring. (to me)

Couldn’t agree more. A shame it will be the tallest on the skyline after it’s completed.
