Panthers To Play Outdoor Ice Hockey Game At LoanDepot Park

The NHL has announced that Miami will host the 2026 NHL Winter Classic, in an outdoor ice hockey game.

The event will be held at loanDepot park (formerly Marlins Stadium) on Jan. 2, 2026.

The Florida Panthers will return to Miami for the first time since 1998. They will face the New York Rangers.

The game will be held with the roof open. Previously, the warmest outdoor NHL game was played at 65 degrees.

Another outdoor NHL game is scheduled a month later in Tampa.

whats hockey? our winters rarely have temps below 50 degrees, let alone below freezing to allow ice to form over lakes that can then be used to play such a sport.

Calling this area Riverside Heights is like calling your girlfriend “mom”. Just can’t replace it cause it makes you feel better

You must be a transplant, everybody and their mother who is from Miami knows this area is called Little Havana and will always be called Little Havana.
