Pedestrian Bridge Connecting Brightline To Aventura Mall Sitting In Storage For Months

A $20m pedestrian bridge has been sitting in storage for months, according to Miami-Dade Commissioner Eileen Higgins.

Drone photos of the bridge were captured by Joel Franco.

The county is waiting for an easement to be signed by a private property owner before construction can begin, Higgins said.

I normally avoid Miami Gardens Drive and take 172nd St. & US1 Miami Gardens Drive is a nightmare to drive over heading westbound after getting off US1

Are they scared of the “Metrorail homeless” crawling across the bridge to the mall?

Hopefully not during upcoming holiday shopping.

No, they’re probably more concerned about another FIU type situation happening again.

That’s Metromoober, and if anything, they would already be coming to the mall from the bus station inside of the parking garage.

Those homeless must be doing pretty well if they can afford those Brightline fares
