Phased Permit Now Pending At 42-Story Miami Station Tower

A  phased construction permit now appears to be pending for the 42-story Miami Station tower.

Building Department records show an application for a Phased Class I Full Vertical permit was created on April 26.

Coastal Construction is listed as the contractor.

The main construction permit for the tower was first created in December 2021, and also lists Coastal as the contractor.

In February 2023, Chicago-based developer The John Buck Company – Florida Value Partners, and BH Group with PEBB Enterprises purchased the site for $39.5 million. The property had been marketed as being shovel ready.

Also in February, the construction permit was reactivated, with a note saying that drawings will be ready for cycle 2 of review.

In March, equipment was spotted at the site, possibly conducting soil testing.

A demolition permit for the site was issued in early 2022.

The Miami Station property is entitled for the development of 301 residential units, 244,000 square feet of office, and just over 7,000 square feet of retail.

ODP is the design architect.

This is a simple and striking design with no balconies for a change.

Balconies or not, it’s still the same old same old by Arquitectonica.

I swear this plot of land gets a new “permit” every month and then gets sold to a new developer who then applies for permits and then sells it again. This piece of land is cursed and has had that eyesore unfinished building on it for the past 20 years

Too bad the courthouse wasn’t designed this meticulously.

Who said the courthouse was designed, and not drawn by someone’s kid at HOK?

notice the difference between out of town developers and local developers in regard to finish quality.

They are equally mean to every costumer, so at least that postal office has equality…

Like all cultural and artistic endeavors lately, architecture has gone insane. It’s not only in politics that we’re plummeting.

Cool, complete the base and come back with a taller tower that isn’t a box.
