Eastern National Bank Vacates Office Building Where Brickell City Centre’s Second Phase Is Planned

An office building that sits on the future site of One Brickell City Centre has been vacated by Eastern National Bank

Brickell City Centre developer Swire Properties purchased the 197,611 square foot office building from Eastern National in 2011 for just $13.1 million. The bank moved from the building, located at 799 Brickell Plaza, in mid-May.

Next door, Swire also owns the former Miami Today headquarters, which has already been demolished, and another office building currently being used as a sales center for condos at Brickell City Centre. The properties will be combined to become the site of the 1,049 One Brickell City Centre mixed-use tower.

The properties will combine to build a sweet looking super tower and most likely the first of the 1000 footers. Go Swire !

Glad we can count on Swire to deliver great projects

I hope this gets built. They should at least chop off the flat roof at the top and do something more symbolic. Miami needs an iconic building.

It’s swire… Of course it will get built. Unlike all these big promise developers, swire actually preplans and funds it’s operations independent of finances from outside sources. Go swire!

I wish they give us a rendering with quality that shows materials as they will be. So far, these renderings are way too diagrammatic to even critique the design that is already very simple but in a good way. I am glad is no funky and crappy undulated cheesy design that Arquitectonica is pulling in every possible direction. Sobriety and simple International Style should be enough to make a very elegant and sleek building.

I really hope that’s not the final design. Meeting the street at that weird angle with a giant empty plaza in front is very 80s. Very glad there’s a new large office building coming downtown, it’s been getting a bit condo heavy.

I’m pretty sure they’ll redesign the base of the tower. They should have a Dave and busters, a chipotle, a bookstore, and something else like a bar. Then we’re talking!

This tower is going to be crazy but if Swire adds the Chipotle…it’s going to be insane!!

I’d rather have Burger King there, you can get 2 for 5.
Just kidding!!!

They should have a Chuck-E-Cheese, a cafe named after a credit card, a Macaroni Grill, and something else like a second PF Chang’s. Then Brickell will be AMAZING.

Well now now…lets not get too excited! A Chuck-E-Cheese, PF Chang’s, a Chipotle and a Macaronni Grill!!… that would be a game changer! It will catapult this project and this city to elite status among world class cities….;)
