Photo: Foundation Work Continues At 65-Story E11Even Residences In Park West

Foundation construction is continuing at the 65-story E11even Hotel & Residences tower in Park West, according to a photo by Ryan RC Rea.

A site work permit was issued in May, Building Department records show.

A second tower called E11even Residences Beyond is also planned down the block. There is a demolition permit now in process at that site.

A recent City of Miami lobbyist registration on behalf of developer PMG Acquisitions, LLC hints a third property could also be in play.

According to the August 18 filing, the PMG lobbyist is working on land use and zoning approvals at 1040 N Miami Ave, in addition to the first two E11even properties.

This is what I’m talking about Miami.. don’t worry about Miami Beach.. focus on the mainland on yourself.

It would be nice to have the Metromover connect us to Miami Beach though so more tourists would come our way!

Anonymous

Yes, that would be nice, and it will start making this county a much bigger attraction, and that’s the way it should be.

The Metromover thing has been talked to death on this site. It’s time to move on!

Why Metromover, and not Metrorail or another higher-capacity system that doesn’t move at a snail’s pace? Could it be that you don’t want to pay fares or have some fetish for an outdated people mover system?

Because it’s WAY more intrusive and expensive.

Haha.. another person who runs to almost everywhere because a walking pace is just too slow.

our Metromover is slow by design: It has so many stops and 90 degrees bends. Even more modern cars and control technology could not make it run faster.
Having said that, a straight metromover line next to the causeway, would not have to go snail speed

I’m surprised there hasn’t been a water taxi service yet. Given the amount of people moving back and fourth from MB and Miami. Also during off peak season (summer and fall) the taxis could be stored. That way there’s not so much concentration in one area and there’s not a bunch of infrastructure in the air. The water taxis could serve multiple destinations.

A Water Taxi did exist, but it went out of business a few years ago.

This will lead to other highrises being built near by, other than MWC towers.

Yeah but MWC seems to be making the best ones.

With shit like Natiivo and balconies designed on a building that look like flames on a Mexican car?.. you’ve got to be kidding me.

What will happen to Space?

Brooklyn

Good question. I don’t think anything since it’s a different property. although the terrace sunrises may be a little less bright with that east tower hovering over top…..

That means it make that side of space a little cooler.

Space will most likely sell. The land has become too valuable to continue operating a coke filled bath house

Finally a building where all the DJS can buy a condo and feel right at home. Hopefully this tower doesn’t affect the 24 hour nightclub district overlay it is located on.

You mean, you know what’s going on in that area while you’re (as usual) sleeping in your “lazy boy” chair with the TV watching you?

News flash – neighborhoods change with new construction.

Antennae

This project should be going vertical by now. Why so many delays? MWC needs momentum to get it going. Density in the area is badly needed for its success.

With that Antennae, have you picked up any signals from another planet out in space yet? If not, what’s the delay? Do you need some kind of momentum to get going? That Antennae of yours is badly needed for success.

It is taking forever as are all of the supposed Supertalls.

Do you see those pile driving machines in the picture? Do you know why they’re there? Let me explain. These machines drive towering cement poles into the ground to support the ground that this building will sat on, because the ground substructure in Miami is very shallow and made out of porous limestone.

Now, I hope to YOU this explains why this project is taking so long to go “vertical.”
