A giant wall of glass is now being installed at the 49-story Society Biscayne tower under construction on Biscayne Boulevard, a new photo shows.
The glass façade is for a 10-story church that sits at the base of the tower, which will have its own separate entrance.
The First United Methodist Church will include a chapel, a fellowship hall, classrooms, offices, a basketball court, and a 3-story sanctuary with views of Biscayne Bay. The total church area is about 25,000 square feet.
Developer PMG is building the church as a replacement for First United Methodist’s church that once stood on the same property.
The 49-story tower will also have 714 rental apartments, 48,000 square feet of office space, and 3,000 square feet of retail.
According to a July social media post by developer PMG, opening is scheduled for January 2022.
