Photo: Glass Installed At Topped Off Twin-Tower Main Las Olas, 12 Minute Walk From Brightline Station

The Main Las Olas, which is the biggest projects ever for Fort Lauderale developer Stiles Corp., has topped off and has had its first glass installed.

Brigtline’s Fort Lauderdale station is half a mile or a 12 minute walk away, according to Google Maps.

Two towers are part of the project, one office and the other residential, connected by a 10-story parking garage. A total of 1.4 million square feet will be built.

A 25-story office tower will include 357,000 square feet of Class A space.

The second tower will be residential. There will be 341 rental apartments in the 27-story building.

At the ground floor will be a 26,000 square feet of grocer and 17,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

Cooper Carry is the architect.

Biscayne Times just did an article about the massive up-hill battle to get this accomplished due to the bridge over the New River.

Up to Wynwood, Little River, North Miami, Aventura, Hallandale Beach, Hollywood, and FLL is a good start.

Although the design is horrible, glad to see Fort Lauderdale’s downtown continue to grow and show signs of a real city.

Horrible? LOL, this p****s on any Melo or Related/Arquitectonica project. Cooper Carry designs solid buildings. If you saw what was here before (a crummy FAU building where I once took classes), it’s a major improvement

I think the design is mostly good, especially along Las Olas where most of the pedestrian traffic is. The midblock parking podium design is awkward.

We need Brightline and Tri Rail stops right at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. This is more important than Brightline’s Boca stop.

This site need less posters that can’t comment on the topic and continually deviate from the subject at hand.

Fort Lauderdale (Broward) needs to talk with Miami Dade about Coastal Link and some kind of rail line from sawgrass to FTL downtown

I’ve been posting randomly on social media about a light rail line from sawgrass to the war memorial loop, going down broward blvd and/or 595 possibly sunrise blvd. They can also have a stop at the 595 express area at bb&t…when will they pay me

The Greenwise Market (fancy Publix) will be a nice addition to the downtown core.

If only we can get that amount of office space to be built in Miami.

Well I guess the under construction 830 Brickell office tower with it’s 490,200 square feet of office space in Miami is just a mirage then?
