Photo: Lights On Inside Former Auberge Sales Center At 1400 Biscayne

The lights were on this week inside the former sales center for Auberge at 1400 Biscayne.

A request for permission to install an electronic sign at a cost of $2,100 is the only construction permit that has been applied for recently at 1400 Biscayne.

1400 Biscayne is owned by Related Group.

In 2015, Related submitted plans for a three-tower project on the site, designed by Arquitectonica.

The project was to include a total of 1,430 residential units:

  • Tower 1 – 59 stories, 310 units
  • Tower 2 – 59 stories, 498 units
  • Tower 3 – 49 stories, 568 units

The plans also included an eleven-story podium with retail and restaurant space, amenities, and 1,629 parking spaces.

Related launched sales for the first tower with 328 condos (up from 310) in 2016, but then shelved the project.

A model for the first tower, which was named Auberge, remains inside the former sales center five years later.

An office building is currently on the property, and signs there are currently advertising short term leases as being available.

You people are clueless who think they shouldn’t have parking. Do you even know what the Auberge brand is? Do you think people buying million dollar condo units aren’t gonna want to have one or two cars lol. Please stop while your ahead you sound silly and unknowledgeable.

Yeah, just because there are 1600 parking spots doesn’t mean all 1600 cars will be leaving the garage at the same time.

I live in San Francisco and own a car but I use it about once every two weeks. I tried getting rid of my car completely, went car free for 6 months but realized that even in San Francisco you need a car for certain things like weekend trips and shopping.

A car is a good way to avoid poop and infected needles when you live in San Francisco!! But the ice cream is great … ask Nancy! 🤣

The people on this site complaining about PARKING, are probably the same people we see on the street under 90 degrees HEAT, walking by themsleves “DOUBLE Masking” while being vaccinated.!!!

Or maybe the custodian forgot to turn the lights off.

Hopefully it’s redesigned. The area is thriving and something architecturally significant would sell faster.

To be fair, it’s still far better than 444 Brickell, which IS a development that needs to be redesigned. Adding insult to injury, Related fired the late Cesar Pelli, too. He would have designed something worthy for that location.

It’s a beautifully designed project.

Evidence Arquitectonica keeps recycling the same merde year after year.

Atrocity at its best. They not only came out with a horrible design back in 2016 but apparently they kept it for 5 years, and now the will relaunch the project with the same crapy design. What is wrong with Arquitectonica, they only seem to do cookie cutter design nowadays. Take Icon, Auberge and Baccarat and they are practically the same!!

Park Grove and Casa Armani are Related last developments in Miami have you been to any of these buildings. People jump on a real estate website and complain about a subject they know nothing about!

Sam

Sorry, didn’t want to bother you. I must say they do a great job on these 2 projects and they do every time they partner with another developer. In Park Grove they partnered with Terra and in Armani they partnered with Dezer. Without trying to offend you, everytime they go solo they end up doing mediocre work.

Related has been Melo for for as long as Melo has been Melo.

They should show their view of the ugly new electronic billboard on the bayfront next to MacArthur Causeway. All the new condos will have a nice big flashing sign in front of them.
