Build Coastal Link and provide a link from the rail station to the mall.

Do not support this car-dependent sprawl inducing development.

The Virgin tracks are already there and in use with the company considering adding their own commuter line to compete with TriRail. Smart money would be to put a station/platform there with a pedestrian bridge across Biscayne Blvd to the mall. That would encourage everyone to take the train instead of trying to navigate the Crawl from Hell. Let the mall and Virgin split the costs because both will win.

Upscale malls like Aventura, Dadeland, etc. are doing fine. It’s middle class ones like Westland, Southland, or Pembroke Lakes which are threatened if Macy’s and J.C. Penney close more stores.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For better or worse, the shopping mall is dying everywhere else but South Florida.

Seritage is having a difficult time leasing any space that isnt restaurant oriented. I wish them luck filling the rest!
