Photos: 830 Brickell Passes Level 50 & Nears Top Off

The 830 Brickell office tower has passed level 50 and is getting closer to topping off, new photos show.

The building is planned to reach a height of 55 stories and 725 feet, which would make it the tallest office tower in Brickell and second tallest in all of Miami.

Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture is designing the tower.

I love having all these towers from acclaimed architects being built in Miami.

What, Arquitectonica is not “acclaimed?”

Not Anonymous

Not if they don’t like their designs apparently. Because their approval matters more than projects around the world and multiple awards.

Arquitectonica is a respectable firm for sure but it is great to see Zaha, AS+GG, Robert Stern, etc on the skyline

Arquitectonica is a respectable firm for their towers outside of the city proper within the last ten years only.

I’ve watched this building’s progress from my balcony. Seems like I was watching the demolition of Chicken Kitchen yesterday. Lol It has been a beautiful project to watch.

Quite an elegant building even when it’s still under construction 👌

Brutal to SLS Lux east facing views. Can you imagine owning one of those only to realize you’re staring into an office? Wow.

No sympathy for them. This site was slated for development before they bought their units. Besides, this will be a beautiful building. The view could be much worse.

Definitely!
I can imagine it.
It’s a great building.

You buy a unit, not a view. Extensive legal precedence.

Can you imagine living in SLSLux and walking to your office in 830 Brickell?

You would never have to bitch about the Metromover extension to Wynwood.

Anonymous

This isn’t the place for illogical criticism of 830 Brickell’s proximity to SLSLux. The right place for that is the Brickell Living Facebook group.

They are not looking at an office; They are looking at a concrete wall on the west side of the tower.

Beats having to look at SLS’ ugly murals and CitizenM, ugly mural and building in its entirety.

CitizenM is brutal to all views in this area.

I hope Miami World Center gets a tall office tower too.

I believe there’s one proposal for a Class A office tower. Though I’m not sure about it’s progress.

Anon

I don’t think there is any demand for office space in MWC unfortunately. Seems all the demand is in Brickell and Wynnwood

Except for the Class A office buildings that Blackstone paid $230M.

Anon

Yeah, except for that pretty much. (Not MWC also) Every commercial component in MWC has been downsized or scrapped for air bnb’s.

Although I would much rather have this building in its place, I agree we need a Chicken Kitchen in Brickell again.

Where will the ingress / egress for this building be? That traffic coming east on 8th street is absolutely brutal, and I don’t think Brickell Plaza can handle that traffic, though ingress / egress onto sw 8th street doesn’t seem practical either.

I love all the development in Brickell, especially office space. But if more attention isn’t paid to infrastructure (better roads, sorry high paid white collar workers aren’t taking the metro mover), the office demand will dampen when it becomes too much of a headache to commute into brickell. It’s great for younger workers, but not the big wigs living in other areas of Miami.

IKR, it’s like that Virgin Hotel rendering that showed Metromover as a full-blown proper train rather than dinky electric shortbus.

You can take your money and build Miami a better system than the Metromover if you want.. believe me, nobody will prevent you from doing it!.
