Photos: Art Mural Installation At 58-Story SLS Lux

SLS Lux is getting closer to completion, scheduled for this fall.

The 58-story project includes 450 condo units and 85 condo-hotel units, with 99 percent of units sold. The parking garage is adorned with a Fabian Burgos Mural.

A Katsuya restaurant will be located on the ground floor, along with a Joe & The Juice.

The artist forgot that he left an entire wall at Brickell Heights without his art. The wall that faces the strip is concrete with few stripes of “art”. Unbelievable. Then again, this is a Related project.

That wall will not be visible when a planned tower is built on that site.

Yeah and in the meantime they could probably sell it as advertising space the hide the unfinished look until it’s covered.

You said the magic work magic word “when”. So for next 5-10 years we need to see an unfinished wall.

Million restaurants in Brickell but I couldn’t find a single shop selling frozen yogurt. Any ideas where I can find one either in downtown or Brickell? I don’t want to go to South beach for PinkBerry.

Is it great? NOT BY ANY MEANS. Is it better then a white facade with “mesh” and “planters” that a lot of other buildings have? Yes.

When it’s properly maintained to grow out, a white facade with mesh and planters looks the best. For example, the Ballet Valet Parking Garage in South Beach.

Love the building but Fabian Burgos is so overrated

I’ll take beautiful landscaping over this so-called art mural any day.

Britto? I don’t see any hearts and glitter. At least it’s not that bad…

At least this one doesn’t look like the one that looks that the rain washed it down or was done by a 3 year old

Hah! That one is more artistic than this generic piece!

You took the words out of my mouth. I live next door to that horrible childlike finger painting and cringe every time I see it. At least this one looks like a test page when you are installing your color printer.
