Photos: Construction Nearly Complete On Angler’s Hotel Expansion In South Beach

In South Beach, an expansion of Kimpton’s Angler’s Hotel is almost done.

The project includes 84 new rooms – tripling the key count of the highly rated hotel, which has just 45 rooms now. There’s also 3,000-square-feet of new ground floor retail space.

Construction started more than three years ago, in April 2015.

Miami’s NBWW is the project architect.

I like the look, modern but still fits in well with Deco neighbors.

Difference between Miami and Miami Beach. -No giant parking podium.

Um, why are you trying to compare this place with new developments in mainland Miami when it’s just an expansion of something that was already there, including the parking lot?

You are correct.. hotels do not need giant parking podiums.

Whole east sidewalk is closed from 6-7th streets.

Almost 500 feet. For how many years? Miami Beach, no vision, no leadership.

The shifted placement of balconies in the middle makes it look cheap and nasty, and frankly isn’t good for the privacy of guests qhen you can drop and see stuff on the below balconies.
