Photos: Construction Progress At Miami Worldcenter’s Jewelry Box, Which Will Be Occupied By Bowlero

Glass installation is continuing at the Miami Worldcenter retail building described by its architect as a “jewelry box,” new photos show.

The jewelry box building will have a total of 135,208 square feet of space, including 78,264 square feet of retail.

There will be two floors of retail, along with a usable rooftop. An “iconic” rooftop structure will top the building.

Bowlero is the only tenant announced so far. It will occupy 31,000 square feet in the building.

The Bowlero will include 28 blacklight bowling lanes, a giant arcade with 75 state-of-the-art games, a sports bar, lounge style seating and upscale food and beverage offerings.

NBWW is the architect of the building.

it’s been over 2 years since Paramount has been open and not a single commercial space has opened up ….not even a coffee bar! Melo completes a bldg and it seems like the next day there are restaurants opened !! what’s going on MWC??!

Nothing at all

I think Worldcenter is still a work in progress, you gotta give it time. How long did it take Brickell to become what it is today?

Anonymous

Heck, that area where Paramount sits sat empty with nothing on it but weeds and trash for over 20 years.

Brickell City Center was built all at once by a single developer. MWC was a master plan and the original concept other that paramount has changed drastically and been watered down

MWC will take 3 years minimum to resemble anything worthwhile to visit.

Just apartment buildings and condos. MWC is a giant bait and switch. As long as the units are selling, no motivation for the developers to put in anything else.

evan

lol yeah no motivation other than making money off rent from commercial leases.

I think the “World Square” will be the first to open. They will gradually open more in phases as the rest of the development is built out. Don’t forget, this is the second-largest development in the history of the United States, next to Hudson Yards. The scale is massive. Between just the Witkoff and Abhi sites we are still waiting for the reveal of probably 6 towers, with more on the way. MWC has barely gotten off the ground.

What’s “iconic” about this roof? That it’s angled & will be well-lit? Am I missing something else??

So that’s why you folks never show up on time to Heat games and leave the game early.

FTX Arena right across the street and not one bar with a TV to hangout before or after a game.

Anonymous

They should turn that parking lot across for the Arena into an open air food hall

Anonymous

It might actually be more profitable than a parking so they might do that while awaiting construction of anything there. Who knows what will actually be built there and most importantly when!

No better margins then this old slab of asphalt packing in as many cars as possible cash only tax free sucka

They should add an open-air food hall to Bayside or Museum Park, which would be better utilization of space used as a giant ratdog toilet.

Thats what Bowlero is. The press releases have specifically stated it will be an elevated sports bar type environment with bowling and retro arcade games. Bar food, TV’s for game viewing, etc.

Why do they keep calling it a “jewelry box building”? It’s literally just a box.

Because during hurricane season the top will pop open outward like a jewelry box.

Museum Park is by far the most commonly used name to refer to that park. I have literally never heard someone use its official name in passing. As far as the arena goes, I hear about the same amount of people using “AAA” and “FTX”.

The only iconic jewelry box building in Miami is the one by the old Bacardi Headquarters on Biscayne.
