Photos: Construction Progress At The Boulevard, With 283 Luxury Apartments

Construction is continuing at a Miami apartment project called The Boulevard.

The project will include luxury rentals, according to the developer. It was formerly known as Boulevard 57.

According to a utilities agreement, the 8-story project will include:

  • 283 apartments
  • 35,855 square feet of full service restaurant
  • 13,485 square feet of retail
  • 517 space parking garage.

13th Floor Investments, Wexford Capital, and Tricera Capital are the developers.

Corwil is the architect.

I’m a fan of high rise buildings but I like mid rise just as much because they cover a lot of real estate. I would love to see more projects like this in Miami!

Something Miami isn’t very good at (e.g. Edgewater), so it makes you wonder why a height limit here was pushed; to stop giant Arquitectonica boxes with the height of this building as the parking garage.

This is a great example of why the 35 feet Height Restriction in The MIMo District must be reconsidered.

Except that’s Palm Grove, a historic district. This a great example of the mid-rise height, density, and architecture for the corridor. Fill the Arts & Entertainment District and West Brickell with high-rises first, and then we can talk about taller infill here, although when such time comes, most the empty lots will be fills with commensurate development.

Will there be walkway access to the restaurant next-door which is Andiamo’s Pizza? That would be good because it would make sense since they are right next-door and there is some retail and restaurant space and it’s right next-door to the pizza place.

Nice addition to Biscayne Blvd, just hope the ubereats drivers know to not block biscayne blvd and go on the opposite of the building.
