Photos: Demolition Work Begins At One Brickell Site Where Three Towers Up To 82 Stories Planned

There is activity at the One Brickell site today.

Photos taken this morning show that some preliminary demolition work has begin, along with installation of fencing on the site.

A permit to demolish a four-story building on the site has already been issued to contractor BG Group, city records show. The demolition cost of the 188,895 square foot structure is listed at $375,313.

There is also a permit to install fencing at a cost of $4,900.

A separate permit to build a 47-story tower with 506 residential units is pending.

Three towers are planned, with the other two at 77 and 82 stories.

A Baccarat hotel and residences will be a a part of the complex.

True but the demo is usually a pretty good sign however. Related is a developer that you can usually count on to follow through with their proposed developments unlike certain other developers.

Awesome to finally see some movement here. This is a great sign that construction will start soon. I am ready to see some tower cranes go up. This will be a great addtion for our skyline.

I would hope the builders would get the biggest bang for their buck on land purchase.
why build three towers and have one be short ?
Build all three at the same height.
Land isn’t getting any cheaper and no one is making more.

Those 4 story complexes going up – they could be each 12 stories and make a park beside them.
