PMG’s X Las Olas reached the eleventh floor last week, and glass installation (or a test) is now underway, photos from shell contractor L&R Structural show.

The first 34-story tower will include 629 apartments, and 30,000 square feet of retail, and over 100,000 square feet of communal amenity spaces.

A second phase of the the project will bring the total apartment count to 1,200 units.

Las Olas Riverfront was demolished to make way for the project. Brightline’s Fort Lauderdale station is about a five minute walk away.

Too jealous. Wish it had been built in Miami, but at least Brightline connects Miami to this in a mere 30 minutes.

There’s a sister project in Miami that opened in July https://www.thenextmiami.com/x-miami-celebrates-grand-opening-with-swim-x-photos/

I’m assuming that’s just a test? The building doesn’t really look ready for cladding.

Bleh, the parking garage (not seen in the renderings) looks terrible and even without The Wave, is unnecessary for the market, access to transit, and walkability. Unlike Miami, it’s not like Phase 2 with be an ultraluxury condo tower.
