Photos: First Glass Installed At Miami Worldcenter’s ‘Jewelry Box’ Retail

Glass installation is now underway at Miami Worldcenter’s “jewelry box” retail building, according to photographs by Ryan RC Rea.

The building will include two floors of retail, along with a usable rooftop. An “iconic” rooftop structure will top the building.

Bowlero has signed a lease for more than 31,000 square feet in the building. The facility will include 28 blacklight bowling lanes, a giant arcade with 75 state-of-the-art games, a sports bar, lounge style seating and upscale food and beverage offerings.

The building will have a total of 78,264 square feet of retail, with a building size of 135,208 square feet.

Tenants for the remaining space have not yet been announced.

NBWW is the architect.

The new retail building is labeled in pink, next to the small orange area labeled boutique hotel:

Can’t wait to see what type of iconic structure will be on the roof. An industrial-strength AC unit perhaps? Or maybe a telecommunications tower?

Pretty sure they’re just referring to the light show that you see on the underside of the slanted roof in the night renders. SO “iconic”!

What are you talking about, fresh bread?

It looks like a generic airport terminal or convention center. “Jewel box” is just a nicer way to B.S. “iconic.”

This area need a plaza with iconic building. Not another retail stores. You don’t become world city with another apple store and Starbucks.

You better worry about your own roof in the next hurricane.

If it’s not iconic, we don’t want it

Watch out, Bayside!

Bayside serves it’s purpose for mass-market tourism and some conventional mall retail.

How about making an updated plan for the site? So much has changed in the neighborhood since the plans The Next Miami is still including.
