Photos: Foundation Equipment Arrives At Okan Tower Site

Piling machinery used for foundation construction has arrived at the Okan Tower site in downtown Miami.

At least one of the items at the site bears the name of foundation contractor Keller.

Okan Tower is planned to rise 70 stories, and include condos, a Hilton hotel, office, and short-term rental units managed by Hilton.

The tower is being designed in the shape of a closed tulip bud, and will top off at 902 feet, which is taller than any other building that currently exists in Miami (others are planned to surpass that height).

Completion is scheduled for 2026.

Sad it is lacking Resorts World Miami buildings and skyrise.

Do you ever wonder why no place on this planet allowed anything tall and wacky looking to be built like that horrible Skyrise design?

The ground is so tight how will this big building ever penetrate it?

Well, that kind of humor is getting very boring now.

Indeed, if one’s girth is flat around two sides like this tower, they ought to have it checked, and have been spending too much time in Wilton Manors.

They use amyl nitrate in the ground!

They’ll need lots of lube to prevent unnecessary tearing, that’s for sure.

Melo will finish the Aria Reserve before both of these are finished but just between Waldorf and Okan… It will be the Waldorf the finishes first. Okan tower has Civic Construction building it which will make the project delayed at least a year

Each were already responsible for both Downtown 5th towers.

Great to see! Unrelated but does anyone know what’s going on with Legacy Tower? Looking at their webcam, the site has been dormant for weeks with no one in sight, no equipment. Looks like they capped it at grade.

Guessing, since they bought the building next door a few weeks ago, they need to demolish and update their blueprints and city permits
