Photos: Inside The Seminole Hard Rock’s $1.5 Billion Expansion, Including Guitar Hotel

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel officially opened their $1.5 billion Guitar Hotel expansion last week

At the entrance to the new hotel is the Oculus, which includes a light and water show choreographed to music surrounded by greenery.

The Guitar Hotel rises 450 feet, and includes 638 new guestrooms, bringing the total at the resort to 1,271 rooms.

A 13.5-acre “Bora Bora” pool and lagoon experience with overwater cabanas is in front of the new hotel, with swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. There is also a spa and fitness center spanning over 42,000 square feet, and more than 150,000 square feet of meeting space.

The resort now includes 19 food and beverage outlets, along with 20 bars and lounges, a DAER nightclub and dayclub complex, and a high-end shopping area.

Expansion of casino space brings the total to 3,100 slot machines, 193 table games and a 45-table poker room, with 195,000 square feet of gaming space.

A new Hard Rock Live performance venue can seat 7,000 people.

Every night at sunset, there will be a Sunset Light Show outside the Guitar Tower. Lights on the tower will be programmed to change color and intensity timed to music. Six fixed high-powered beams of light will project at least 20,000 feet into the night sky.

This is the boogie man that everyone is so afraid of in Miami. You are correct, this place is beautiful, I was there this weekend and I can guarantee you that Genting would do equal if not better work at the old Miami Herald location. I have said this many times my friends and I do not gamble but we enjoy everything else that a Casino had to offer. This is a perfect example of that. I plan to go there at least once a month it is that amazing.

Yes, with a Casino.

Say what you want about the guitar, but the interior is amazing. Even the most expensive condos can’t hold a candle to that workmanship.

Is there a blueprint map of the nightclub and dayclub pool available online somewhere?

Truly world-class and delivered on time for the Super Bowl festivities to come. Job well done to the Seminole Tribe!

Go Miami go!

Looks beautiful, and I am glad for this project.
However, Miami needs a Venetian or Wynn Vegas strip type casino somewhere around Virgin Trains.
We have the largest cruise port in the world, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, and WPB connected and MIA connected with the Metrorail, as of most of Miami. Brickell and the rest of downtown connected from the metromover. Miami needs to build a world class large destination resort with full gambling in that area.

Well, you actually might get it. Phil Ruffin, who owns Treasure Island in Vegas bought Casino Miami around this time last year. He said he wants to bring Vegas to Miami. So, with Resorts World out of the picture, he may convert that property into something world class. We.Shall.See…

We should donate our moronic Bayfront Park Ferris wheel to the Hard Rock. It would go well with the carnival like atmosphere at the place.

This is some ridiculous Vegas nonsense. Glad it’s at least way out in the suburbs where it can contribute to the local tax base without tackying up any nice walkable parts of the region.

“walkable parts of the region?”

Wow, where you live must have a lot of people aimlessly walking around.
