Photos Of Construction At Mixed-Use $71M Wynwood Square, Next To The Brightline Tracks

Wynwood Square has topped off.

The project is being built by developer CIM Group, with design by architect Stantec.

It spans a full city block at 2201 N Miami Avenue directly next to the Brightline tracks, with the site totaling 1.78 acres.

According to a water and sewer connection schedule, Wynwood Square will include:

  • 257 apartments
  • 54,000 square feet of office
  • 25,000 square feet of retail
  • 480 parking spaces (not listed on the utilities schedule)

A construction loan of $71.2 million is financing the project.

Groundbreaking took place in in August 2019.

Wynwood need more tree canopies to cool of the pavements and let people to walk more around and spent money in local businesses. Check what happens to coconut grove and coral gables. Also some pedestrian streets and one plaza would be ideally. Make miami to looks like European city.

Once the railway station gets built at 27th st (I would have preferred 20th street) it would be a game changer for Wynwood, Midtown and Edgewater.

Yeah I like 20th for a stop (maybe Tri-Rail) it’ll help with development in that area too

20th Street maybe in 5-10 years. It is not ready yet. There is nothing there. Kind of like Magic City.

Hey folks: hi-rises don’t always make for great neighborhoods in cities. Low rise and townhouse developments would be a nice change for some neighborhoods.

Yes, in Wynwood Norte but in this area we need more mid high rises. From 17 to 22nd it’s almost a dead zone as forth Height wise. To mix in with what’s happened the A&E Parkway OT Omni area we need more height.

All you have to do is look northwest and southwest in the pictures of some of the recent articles in TNM and you’ll see nothing but low, low rise structures, townhouses plus homes which makeup mostly neighborhoods upon neighborhoods, and a lota trees for as far as the eye can see, so the county surely doesn’t lack that kinda stuff. We could see tons of new highrises throughout this area and beyond and I betcha it’ll take things from just alright, to greatness.
