Photos: Smart Brickell Has Reached The Eighth Floor Of Construction After Pouring The Foundation In March

The 25-story Smart Brickell is making good construction progress, new photos show.

The project will include three towers. Only the first tower is now rising.

Photos released by developer Habitat Group on October 9 show that the first tower had reached the eighth floor.

A foundation pour for the tower took place in March.

The first tower will include 50 hotel rooms and 50 condos. It is being funded by a $24 million loan from ocean bank.

At the ground floor, the project will have 12,000 square feet of commercial set aside for retail, cafe or restaurant.

Habitat is the developer. Beauchamp is the construction contractor.

How smart are the six curb cuts on the street?

Yes, thank you for pointing this out again, it’s the opposite of urban. Absurd that they got that approved instead of a “smart” design that plans phases incorporating each other, rather than treating each as separate buildings.

The rendering totally omits the fact it’s across the street from an I-95 ramp.

they are building right on top of the other building. Look how close

looks like the building close to the other wont face directly into it. Sucks for the other people that live in the building right next door. Unfortunately, that is what comes with city living but will be a nice infill to that area of west brickell

Right! The Urban Design Review Board is sweating The Melo Group about their proposed new tower downtown but they had no problem approving this?

Melo gets a LOT of allowances on their projects…

In order to conform with that stupid and archaic Miami21, most developers have to ask for allowances.

You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?
