Photos: Sneak Peek Inside New Publix At Brightline’s 3 MiamiCentral In Downtown Miami

At Brightline’s 3 MiamiCentral, a new Publix store is nearing completion.

The 3 MiamiCentral supermarket will be much smaller than a typical Publix, with just 27,935 square feet of store area, along with a 400 square foot cafe area.

The population of the area is expanding significantly.

Three separate major projects are planned across the street from 3 MiamiCentral, including the 41-story Miami Station, Block 55, and Block 45.

Those three towers alone will have 1,431 apartments.

Two apartment tower with over 800 units were also recently completed at MiamiCentral, and there are thousands of additional units either recently completed or under construction within walking distance.

A shopping center with multiple levels of retail is also planned across the street from the new Publix at Block 55.

why does it look like its straight out of the 70s

Anonymous

That’s because you look at everything with a 1970’s mindset.

they could use some alternative branding in this location for sure

I agree. I go to Publix Mary Brickell Village and it feels very outdated, and from what I see, it seems that’s their current Brand’s design. So I guess I shouldn’t expect a reimagined Publix anytime soon.

Publix needs major tube up.
It’s a boring supermarket
Deli is so mundane

Deli is the only reason to go to Publix—other than their deli they got the same crap Walmart carries but with a 30% markup.

Anonymous

Really? It’s obvious you’ve never been to a real deli before

You mean one with rats running across the floor or a dead guy in the back freezer? No thanks.

It’s obvious you’re a little douche

Publix matches prices, although is it worth the hassle? Conversely, a shopping trip at Walmart is like going to hell and back. Take your trade-off.

The interior looks just like the one in Young Circle Hollywood.

Yeah, and all Home Depots basically have the same interior look, so….

They took so long to build it that the design is already dated. In 6 weeks since the last post of TNM all they did was hang up some frames and remove the painters tarps

its the same as all publix…they need updated designs

What do you expect?.. it is another PUBLIX!!!

Anonymous

Why do I need to see the inside of a Publix Supermarket? Haven’t we seen them all?

Anonymous

Because when TNM reports on meaningful projects in Broward the Miamimaniacs go apeshit.

Publix is publix and always will be publix. Publix beats all supermarkets in my opinion. At least you’re getting one that’s convenient to shop in.

I love the Prez (Presidente)!!!

For all of you moaning about the interior design just know that they recently demo’d and rebuilt my local Publix from the ground up which includes so many functional issues it makes me think it’s the first time they’ve ever built a store.

It actually looks good.

What’s with the flag? To remind folks they are stateside while working? I don’t get it. Or perhaps there is an international sports competition in progress?

Just what we need another Publix in Miami. This could have been a great location for a Milam’s Market or any other Supermarket name, not Publix!

Weee a Publix
Enough nonsense.
It is time to open again. Planes are flying.
To still be closed WPB, FTL, Miami is ridiculous.

12 registers, but only 4 will be open at any given time. Lol.

They must be trying to push customers into curbside pickup or home delivery with these drab store interiors.

Anonymous

I thought the idea was to go in there and shop, not go in there and stop.
