Pinstripes Signs Lease To Open Dining & Entertainment Complex Adjacent To Aventura Mall

Dining and entertainment concept Pinstripes has signed a lease to open at Esplanade at Aventura, which is under construction.

Esplanade’s first phase will include 215,000 square feet of retail, unique entertainment and fine dining in an open air multi-level complex next to Aventura Mall.

Sears at Aventura was demolished to make way for the new complex, and construction is underway.

Pinstripes will occupy 30,000 square feet, spread over two levels. It will feature 12 bowling lanes, 5 indoor and outdoor bocce courts, a bistro and quality curated wine cellar, and event space. Indoor and outdoor dining areas will be available.

An additional 100,000 square feet is planned at Esplanade after the first phase.

Opening of Pinstripes is set for Summer 2020.

A Coastal Link station with Biscayne Boulevard pedestrian overpass is a no-brainer.

I actually see the demise of the mall soon, and maybe i am wrong. But aventura was and for all intended purposes is a suburb. It use to be the “medium upscale” mall for South Florida, not Bal Harbor not Dolphin Mall either. But in my personal experience/opinion, the area and the mall grounds itself have gotten so congested it is such a hassle to get into the mall it has become not worth the visit. Still my favorite Mall in South Florida but they are killing themselves in my opinion.

(con) I suppose they will focus on servicing the visitors of the hotels like the Marriott and the part time residents in Sunny Isles etc.

Aventura is too far.
Please report on things happening in the core of the city.
I wouldn’t go that far north

Soon to be just a few minutes from the urban core via a Virgin Trains/Tri-Rail stop

When I ride the brightline I notice it only takes 14 minutes from downtown to near the mall. A trirail station with a bridge would be great for the area.

Please focus on Brickell, east of Miami Ave north of 13th street.

That’s like telling a Sports News station to only focus on baseball and soccer.

Agreed.

I agree. TNM should focus on stuff that really matters, like Chick-fil-As.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The South Florida metro’s population center is around Hallandale Beach Boulevard. Half of the metro lives south of HBB, and half lives north of HBB. The mall is just south of HBB and is therefore in the middle of the metro’s population. Keep dreaming that downtown Miami is like Manhattan.
