Planning Approval Granted For 3047 Biscayne, Construction Permit Pending

Another hotel will soon begin construction on Biscayne Boulevard in the Edgewater and Midtown area.

3H Hotel Group has been granted Planning & Zoning Department approval to begin work, and has applied for a construction permit from the Building Department.

A permit has also been filed to completely demolish a restaurant building on the property.

The construction permit lists an estimated cost of work at $21,957,951.

A total of 132,293 square feet will be included in the 13-story, 159-foot building.

There will be 137 hotel rooms, 11,514 square feet of office, and 6,819 square feet of commercial space, the permit states.

Kobi Karp is the architect.

This will be a great addition to the boulevard, nice landscaping around, very glad there is a floor of office as well as tall parking garage levels that can be converted to other uses in the future. Congrats to 3H and nice job Kobi Karp team!

Typical Kobi Karp Mediocre design. We are filling the city with cheap construction that will look date even before they are finished.

yeah i agree… what’s with that new hotel across the street that has tiling on the outside – the brown tile you can buy off the shelf from Home Depot – you see in a lot of gas station bathrooms… yeah, classy.

so true, I sometimes think this is not really happening, as I see building after building looking the same, adding nothing to our city, it is sad, and we talk about global city…
