Miami’s Urban Development Review Board will review plans later this week for a 309-unit rental project called Midtown 29.
Located at 190 NE 29th Street, the 20-story project will also include about 12,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. A 5-story garage will include 481 parking spaces.
Architect ADD Inc, which was recently acquired by Stantec, describes the design:
The building is formed through a series of interlocking frames. These frames create a super grid behind which pattern and texture is layered through undulating glazing and subtle variations in horizontal banding. The building mass floats atop an airy base enclosing ground level retail and amenities.
The property is currently used by a collision repair shop and Genius Jones. The developers don’t own the corner Enriqueta’s property, which is 5,600 square feet .
Encore Housing Opportunity Fund, Adler Development and Fifteen Group are the developers.
