Plans Filed For Nautica In Fort Lauderdale, With 3 Towers Rising Up To 50 Stories

Plans were filed recently for a three-tower Fort Lauderdale project called Nautica.

Nautica is planned as three towers, rising 50 stories (condos), 39 stories (rental apartments), and 32 stories (hotel).

The project is planned to include:

  • 241 residential condo units
  • 454 residential rental units
  • 148 hotel keys
  • marina, restaurant, ballroom, retail, cafe, and spa
  • 1,568 parking spaces in a 9 level garage

Arquitectonica is the architect. Cymbal is the developer.

A hearing before Fort Lauderdale’s Development Review Committee was scheduled for November 29.

I’m not sure why the renderings are stretched. Here is what the appropriate rendering should resemble:comment image

Did they forget an emergency exit? The stairwell wrapping the podium looks pretty awful…

Thank you urban developers, well designed urban areas are the way to develope…. Because sprawl supplants nature with asphalt, concrete, steel, plastic ,glass and chemicals…. And Glorida should prize every inch of the nature gift we were Given.

You mean this wasn’t a joke about towers with designer name brands?

I think they should have a contest were people reading the next miami would design a building. Every building design looks the same and has no character.

The design isn’t bad, per se but this is surely unimpressive but probably still an upgrade for Fort Lauderdale.

It’s an upgrade for Arquitectonica.

Beautiful, scale and open air space. Brickell needs more like this.

So much more beautiful than the lame designs being proposed now, like Grand Peaks rejected design. FT Laud is taking the lead. Miami developers are getting “comfortable” in their designs.

Its an alright article for TNM. At least I don’t have to search through different sites to read what’s planned in Fort Lauderdale.

I’m sorry but that 595 foot condo looks a lot like the 75 story 1428 project planned in Brickell.

You wish

Son, I don’t have to “wish,” Arquitectonica is the architect firm for both of them.

Saying something means nothing means nothing also.
