Plans Unveiled For Rooftop Skydeck At Lofty Brickell

Developer Newgard Development Group has unveiled plans for a 44th floor rooftop skydeck at the Lofty tower it is building in Brickell.

The approximately 10,000-square-foot area is designed to accommodate private events ranging from small corporate gatherings to wedding receptions. The rooftop will feature lush landscaping, modular furniture, portable bars, a catering kitchen and a private pool.

Owners will have exclusive access to the space when events are not taking place.

“We have designed a plan that allows us to maximize LOFTY’s beautiful sky deck area,” said Newgard CEO Harvey Hernandez. “Owners can enjoy a glass of wine while soaking in the breathtaking cityscape views or hang out by the pool for a quiet day of relaxation.”

Lofty will include 362 units. Overall, the project is said to be over 92% sold, according to a press release today. All 309 tower residences are now sold out. Only penthouse units remain, starting at $2.2 million, the release said.

In January, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Lofty site.

In February, plans were submitted to the UDRB for One Brickell Riverfront on the site, with two towers.

A site work permit for the Lofty site was applied for in March and is in review, Miami Building Department records show. A permit for vertical construction was applied for in October 2022.

One of the nicest buildings in the Miami pipeline. I hope they have events every night, so I can go here for networking and small bites. Also a nice restaurant or cafe would be incredible at the top!

It is in the top 250 for sure…but not one of the top 10.

So instead of being able to use their pool, the residents get to watch you run around kissing ass. Great tradeoff.

Are these condos? Or another AirBnB tower?

All I know is the views are going to be spectacular. Everytime Metromover whizzes through will be a memorable instagramable caption. I will definitely be a patron of that gorg skydeck lounge. This will compete with Sugar

I swear people don’t know how to read… this is not a public space.

What if I get invited? You people are poor dreamers. I’ve crashed so many weddings/parties.

Boo! We want more public spaces and hang outs where we can spend money and enjoy the views in Brickell!

Condos that permit owners to rent short term if desired.

So…another AirBnB tower. Got it.

So, owners can’t use the pool area when it’s being rented out to private events. Assuming their HOA at least gets the private rental revenue?

It is Harvey Hernandez….he allegedly kept the commercial condo portion for himself and will rent it out to Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties just like the other condo owners in the building.

Enjoy the views while you can, because more Arquitectonica “beauts,” meaning a box and meh building with minimal curves atop atrocious parking garages, will affect any view you’re sold on.
